The Best PC Gaming Setup 2022
Today we show you our ultimate setup and thus the best PC gaming setup that is possible at the beginning of 2022. The old desk from childhood, the desk chair on which the third plastic roll breaks off and the coughing, puffing rattle box that has been the dust catcher in your apartment since 2011 will soon be a thing of the past for you.
The right desk
In addition to the screen, the mouse and the keyboard, there are a few other things that need to be on the table. We, therefore, recommend a desk that is at least 160 cm wide and 80 cm deep.
A good address is IKEA. Together with ROG, the Swedish furniture store has designed a collection of gaming furniture. The height of the "Uppspel" desk can be adjusted mechanically at the push of a button and also fits perfectly into a PC gaming setup.
A cable duct is already installed on the back of the table. On the right front side of the tabletop, you have the buttons for adjusting the height and a USB port for charging.
We would rather advise against a table case, as one or two hits in the heat of the moment could damage components.
The right chair
Ergonomics is one of the most important points in a PC gaming setup. Without the right combination of table and chair, one won't do you any good without the other.
It is highly advisable to buy a chair that has a maximum weight that is well in excess of your own. Leave yourself a good buffer to protect the hydraulics of the chair. The castors also tend to break off quite often. Therefore, buy replacement rolls in advance in case you break a roll.

The optimal sitting position
You should always be in a comfortable sitting position. Ideally, your eyes should be level with the top of your main monitor.
You lie on the armrests with your shoulders and the hollows of your knees form a 90° angle.
If your desk is deep enough, you might not need armrests at all, just the tabletop as a support surface.
the computer
The heart of the best PC gaming setup looks a little different for everyone. Some people want to stream or edit and render videos in addition to gaming. In such cases, it is advantageous to put together a machine that can do everything. Here we give you a very good basis for a gaming setup and write directly which parts you have to upgrade so that your computer is also optimally suited for other purposes.

The choice of the tower is up to you. It is only important that it 1.) has the right fit for your mainboard. In our case, the form factor is ATX and 2.) offers enough interior space for all your components.
If you're changing your motherboard or processor, you'll also need to verify that the CPU fan still fits properly. A suitable fan will be recommended to you with the mainboard check from beQuiet.
If you decide to assemble your computer yourself, be sure to ground yourself before assembly. It is enough to reach for a heater with both hands. It is also beneficial to regularly touch the metal body of the case.
Nowadays there are also some service providers who offer PC construction and send you the finished build. This costs a little more, but it also has the advantage that you have a guarantee on the parts and also the certainty that everything fits together and works.
For assembly, you can run a tutorial on your smartphone in which everything is explained step-by-step. Such an assembly can sometimes take the whole day and should not be rushed.
The right lighting
Believe it or not, ergonomics also include the lighting of the room. If your screens are glowing at full power but the rest of the room is too dark or not lit at all, this can become irritating over time.
Get some lamps that will light up your space to a reasonable degree. Preferably even lights that can be dimmed. You won't believe what a difference it makes to gamble or work with decent light.
When it comes to lighting, Twitch streamers are also concerned with things like ring lights or key lights from Elgato, for example. You need these to steal from yourself better and to improve the image of your webcam.
Many manufacturers of PC components nowadays build RGB lighting into their products. This may look very fancy under certain circumstances, but it doesn't matter that much if your tower ends up under the table anyway.
The new graphics card generation from Nvidia is kept rather simple anyway. Particularly eye-catching RGB lights will probably soon be out of fashion. Heed our words: A simple setup will never go out of style!
The right periphery
Monitor, mouse, keyboard and headset are included. Your setup is powerful enough for this, so get a 144Hz monitor with a reasonable resolution as well. Say WQHD or higher. Anything above 144Hz is, in our opinion, an optional bonus that you need to be able to afford to make investing worthwhile.
The mouse and keyboard are up to you, everyone has their own preferences. However, we strongly recommend that you do not save big money at this point, but rather procure products from a well-known manufacturer. Razer, HyperX or Logitech are good places to go.
The right accessories
Of course, the best PC gaming setup does not come without the best accessories. A large mousepad mat makes a big difference compared to a bare table. The keyboard no longer slides back and forth and the mouse has comfortable traction on the fabric.
A mouse cable holder prevents the mouse cable from being dragged around on the table. So you almost created the feeling of a wireless mouse. A headphone hook allows you to hang your headset instead of putting it on the table.
