When we have a wonderful, loving family, we often don't think about the fact that our happiness can suddenly be ruined. However, it will be easier for us to face adversity if we are armed with a good life insurance policy. Many of our readers have found out about it, including the incident of Małgorzata from Płock, Poland.
When the coronavirus pandemic started, the spring lockdown and my family were really gentle. I will say more, this several weeks' stay at home brought us closer to each other. - says Małgorzata. - My husband and I both worked from home, so we didn't have to waste time commuting to work. And suddenly it turned out that we have more of it for ourselves and for children.
After initially killing boredom by watching TV series or playing computer games, Małgorzata's family started looking for more interesting ways to spend pleasant moments together.
Afternoons and weekends began to fill us with trips, also outside the city, to the forest - says Małgorzata.
It was during one of these Sunday trips that the family found out how helpful the life insurance policy is.
A Fatal Accident
Kinga, our ten-year-old daughter broke her leg. In addition, it was a really nasty fracture, open and, as it turned out later, with displacement - says Małgorzata. - My husband and I felt panic at first. We didn't know what to do in the time of the pandemic.
Go to the hospital? And which one? Who is on the Sunday duty and accepts patients without coronavirus? Will anyone accept us at all? How long will it take for help? - there were a lot of questions in the minds of Małgorzata and her husband.Fortunately, we have a life policy purchased in Warta. It includes all of us, including children - says Małgorzata. - So I called the insurer's hotline and got clear instructions on where to get specialist help for my daughter. Really, the stone immediately fell from my heart with my husband. We drove immediately to the indicated private clinic.
Immediate Help
An hour later, Małgorzata's daughter had all the necessary tests done.
Unfortunately, an operation was necessary because the leg was broken with displacement. My daughter was taken to the operating theater and it was over before my husband and I knew it. The doctor said that there should be no complications, but the daughter must stay in the hospital for two or three days after the procedure for observation.
Normally, such an unexpected specialist treatment and stay in a private institution would be too much of a financial burden for the family. Fortunately, the insurance covered all the costs.
- We didn't pay any extra money! When my daughter left the hospital, she got crutches to move around. The insurer also paid for her subsequent rehabilitation. Everything was perfectly organized, we didn't have to worry about anything. My husband and I were very pleased that the policy was so useful. And to tell you the truth, we wouldn't have thought then that it would come in handy again at any moment.
Financial Support
Although the family followed all sanitary recommendations and avoided meeting bystanders, Małgorzata's husband fell ill with COVD-19 in the fall.
Rafał felt worse, and since the previous day he was doing some work in the garage until late in the evening, I thought that he had caught a cold. Unfortunately, none of the usual cold remedies worked this time. I was surprised because my husband usually gets back in shape quickly. And here he began to complain of muscle aches and he was coughing terribly...
When Małgorzata's husband got a high fever in the middle of the night, she called the insurer's hotline again, which offered a home visit.
The doctor was here an hour later! The suggested diagnosis scared me because so far I had not taken into account that it could be a coronavirus infection.
Unfortunately, it turned out that my husband's test was positive.
Fortunately, the children and I were not positive. But her husband's illness and quarantine meant he wouldn't be able to work for a while. The husband is hired by order. If she does not do her job, she will not receive the money we needed, because I haven't earned any money lately…
Małgorzata works as a waitress in one of Płock restaurants. Unfortunately, the place has been closed for months.
The boss pays us some money, but incomparably less than normal. I also do not get tips from clients who have always improved my budget a bit - says Małgorzata.
The family's situation was therefore unenviable.
In addition, we have no one to borrow from ... Parents and mother-in-law live modestly, and my sister earns much less as a hairdresser than before the pandemic and has no savings - says Małgorzata. - Fortunately, I was informed on the insurer's hotline that our policy entitles us to receive financial support in the event of falling ill with COVID-19. I admit I was overjoyed. It saved us!
Małgorzata's family survived the difficult times in 2020 thanks to a well-constructed WARTA policy, which protects each family member. And it provides support in many life situations.
It is really amazing that in return for the really small money that we pay every month, we did not have to worry about the consequences of all these unfortunate events.
